A new product, now being introduced into the Ghanaian market, holds the promise of significantly increasing the productivity of the country’s cocoa farmers and the yields they achieve. This new fertilizer is radically different from existing fertilizers available to Ghanaian farmers. Thus, with the application of Cocoa Nti, the annual expenditure of cocoa farm owners and the State itself, which supports them, on fungicides and other disease resisting chemicals will be cut down drastically, even as the need to deliberately destroy large portions of cocoa farms during times of disease, will be eliminated. Instead, all dying twigs and branches will be revitalized and set up for flower production and fruit set.
